Don has built a bridge between NDS and the City of Ravenna, his knowledge and expertise involving the city were essential to the growth and development of NDS. He showed wisdom and dedication to the mission of NDS and its evolution through 25 years of service. Don has been a main staple for shaping and enriching our growth. We thank you Don for your tremendous amount of loyalty through the years.

The next person I would like to thank is Jeff Mills. Jeff sat on our Board of Directors for 12 years and due to job relocation he was forced to resign. He like Don has become instrumental in the growth of NDS. Serving as the Secretary for 9 years, Jeff went above and beyond and proactively assisted NDS to grow and succeed. Jeff was always willing to go the extra mile. We thank you Jeff for your years of service and wish you the best of luck in your new ventures.

NDS is going to be celebrating our 25th Anniversary on August 16th of this year. Please look forward to more details as the date approaches.

Once again thank you Don and Jeff for many years of service. You will be missed!

In other NDS news, the State of Ohio was awarded more than $25 million in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Funding from U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. NDS was one of the organizations selected by the State to administer and implement funds for the program in various parts of Northeast Ohio.

Sincerely,
Dave Vaughan
Executive Director

We will offer programs such as housing rehabilitation, homebuyer education, foreclosure prevention and down payment assistance.

NDS has had a wonderful 2009, with many new programs such as the National Community Stabilization Trust.
