Two new single-family homes are ready for buyers in Twinsburg Township. Neighborhood Development Services, the project developer, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony with stakeholders on Wednesday.

Both developments are two-story homes featuring three beds and two baths with 1,250 square feet of living space. The layout includes a first floor master bedroom, and a two car attached garage.

NDS utilized Summit County HOME funds and a $10,000 donation from Chemical Bank to build the homes.

“I would like to thank Lauren Crawford, Ina Sayer, Michael Babb, and Jamie Lynch of Chemical Bank for their generous donation to this community.” Said Stacy Brown, incoming executive director of NDS.

“Chemical Bank is committed to giving back to the communities we serve,” stated Lauren Crawford, CRA Market Manager Northeast Ohio. “By contributing to the great works of Neighborhood Development Services, we are able to help families achieve affordable housing in our community.”

“I would also like to thank County Executive Ilene Shapiro, Connie Krauss Director of Development, Holly Miller and Dan Stimmel from the Department of Development, as well as Robert Kagler for all his help in the Township,” Brown said. “The cooperation between NDS, Summit County, and Twinsburg Township is really what makes projects like these successful.”

Holly Miller, the Senior Administrator in the Department of Community and Economic Development said that NDS has developed seven houses with HOME funds over the past several years. “We have a good partnership with NDS and we look forward to future projects,” she said.

Robert Kagler, Twinsburg Township Manager, said it is good for the township to see development in this area. “This area has become a popular neighborhood, thanks in part to NDS building new homes here. These affordable homes make homeownership obtainable for our residents. It is a win for everyone.”
